FAQ’s
I’m in high school attending conventions and dance competitions. Do I need a college degree to be a professional dancer?
I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT A COLLEGE DEGREE IS FOR EVERYONE. HOWEVER, THERE ARE MANY BENEFITS THAT A DEGREE CAN GIVE YOU IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY OVER SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE A DEGREE. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BEYOND A DANCER, SINGER, ACTOR CAREER. EXECUTIVE OF A TELEVISION NETWORK, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR OF A THEATRE, PROGRAM DIRECTOR, ETC.
I WOULD HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR ASPIRATIONS AND WHERE YOU WOULD LIKE FOR YOU CAREER TO TAKE YOU.
BOOK A MENTORLY SESSION TO START SO WE CAN DISCUSS THIS PARTICULAR.
I’m already paying a lot of money getting a b.f.a. what can the Laroche approach give me that my university cannot?
I UNDERSTAND THE FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF A COLLEGE DEGREE. I HAVE A B.F.A AND I JUST FINISHED PAYING MY STUDENT LOANS THIS YEAR. A ONE-ON-ONE WITH ME, YOUR MENTOR, IS INVALUABLE WHILE YOU TRANSITION INTO THE PROFESSIONAL INDUSTRY. ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS:
DO I KNOW WHAT AN ECC IS?
DO I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN AGENT AND A MANAGER?
DO I KNOW WHEN TO LOOK FOR AN AGENT?
AM I CONFIDENT TO AUDITION FOR A BLOCKBUSTER MOVIE RIGHT NOW?
DO I KNOW HOW TO PREPARE FOR A NYC AUDITION?
IF YOU ANSWERED, “NO” OR “I’M NOT SURE” TO ANY OF THESE, MY PRIVATE LESSONS ARE FOR YOU.
THIS IS WHERE MY AVAILABILITY AS A MENTOR IN YOUR CAREER IS GOING TO ALLEVIATE SOME OF THOSE CONCERNS.
What would I get out of my private session?
I just booked my first Broadway show! Do you mentor throughout one’s working career?
Am I in the right place for public speaking? I’m a business major and I know nothing about dance or musical theatre.
I’m the parent of a middle school singer. Do you train/mentor all ages?
In a private lesson with me, I’ll begin by asking you what your aspirations are and where you feel you stand currently in your skillset. From there, I’ll determine where I think you can use training and guidance to get you to the bookings of your dream roles and continue working with you through your professional body of works. From learning Rockette choreography, building stamina for an 8-show a week schedule, building you audition capabilities, confidence, and getting you more acquainted with your book of music by developing your story telling capabilities. Each of my students I create a personal syllabus with them so that our hour session is utilized wisely.
Once you book your job we will celebrate! We celebrate by continuing exactly what got you the booking in the first place. Your hard work, talent, and persistent training will now be in full gear. Whenever you are booked on a fabulous contract, you are in full fledge training to book your next fabulous contract! We want to enjoy our success but not get complacent. Shows close, replacement contracts happen, we want to keep your skill sharp and create a reputable resume for you.
You are in the right place! Thank you for coming to The Laroche Approach. Wherever you stand, I work with beginner M.F.A majors, Finance directors, to Advanced 10k+ following bases building their audience reach and engagement skills.
Hello mom/dad! Nice to e-meet you. You are preparing your child for a world of success through my program. I train and mentor as young as 13 years old. My younger students tend to also be working artists that are homeschooled or are willing to homeschool for a blockbuster movie or Broadway show caliber contract. My students either excel or show stardom promise in singing, dancing, and acting ability. I do not train beginners in the field of performing arts.
